Volunteer With Us
As a charity, entirely operated by volunteers, we need ongoing help with all aspects of running our organisation.
We welcome people with all abilities and interests, who are willing to help out. Here are some of the areas we need help with:
Fundraising
Without financial help from the public, we can’t afford to buy and maintain the necessary equipment, provide training, run drills and carry out Search and Rescue duties. However this fundraising is very time consuming and often falls to our already overworked committee. If you can help out with a Church Gate collection, shake a bucket or sell raffle tickets at an event, informing corporate donors with the tax benefits of their donations, or even event planning please get in touch.
Administration
Like any organisation of its size, we have quite a bit of ongoing admin work. If you could lend your expertise it would be greatly appreciated
Maintenance of Shed and Equipment
Ongoing maintenance is required for all our equipment and premises. If you have the skills, but would prefer to stay on dry land, this could be a great way to get involved
Social Media and Website Maintenance
From time to time, we need to update our social media accounts and website with news and events. If you feel you could help out with any aspects of this, such as Graphic Design, email marketing, creating blog posts etc, all help would be greatly appreciated
Search and Rescue Duties
Search and Rescue is taxing, but extremely rewarding way to give back to the community. For the right candidates, we will provide the necessary training required.
