Ballybunion was the first town in Ireland to have two blue flag beaches and this is not mentioning the collection of several other beaches around the locality for walking, swimming, kayaking, surfing, snorkeling…..the list is endless. The town is also renowned for its surf and the two beaches make an idea setting for both beginners and experienced surfers.

Ballybunion Golf Club was founded in 1893 and is home to arguably one of the best links courses in the world. There are 2 courses, the Old Course and the Cashen Course, both of which run along beside the beach.
On finishing your 18 holes or your swim in the sea, you can relax in the comfortable atmosphere of the many bars and restaurants within the town. Ballybunion is a resort that caters for all types. Families can enjoy the beaches, casinos and state of the art leisure centre while adults can enjoy the wonderful night life that the town brings with live music in most bars during the summer.
